Well I have managed 0nly 3 training sessions in the 10 days since Leeds ! My shoulder has been OK ish, in that it is not getting worse and does not give any reaction after training. Still taking Ibuprofen to ensure I don't have a wasted journey and involved costs in getting to Gloucester, I have however reduced the amount I am taking which keeps the medical types at the club happy. My target is to train at least 3 times a week to keep me ticking over prior to the operation. Mean while I have also entered the Wenlock Olympian Masters Meet which appeared on our club web site last week . A number of us are planning a fun sprint day there. I am also travelling to Barnet for the distance meet so I can swim a 400 fs (slowly I would think) and the 100 fly. This will give me my 10 decathlon swims for the year for the first time.
Weight, well I could easily be accused of only posting good news when my diet is involved. Well in the lead to the nationals (and during ) and since, I have let the diet fall into the never reaches of my mind. All in all over a month I have let the weight drift from 16.3 to 16 11. Yep about 8 lbs over 4 weeks. So bloody easy to put on and will take at least 4-5 weeks just to get back to where I was. It reminds me that after my op I will be inactive for 4 weeks and out of the pool for 12 weeks at least. I really must sort my cravings out soon.. My main problems being Bread and associated butter (in weak periods while food shopping). The best time for me to diet is food shopping. If I don't buy the fatty stuff I can't eat it at all times of the day and night.
On bad days it is not just butter of course. I will buy and eat biscuits, chocolate, cakes the list goes on. OK you will say everyone eats these items. BUT. I can't eat two or three biscuits I eat the packet! Same applies to other fatty foods and I havn't mentioned ice cream.
Oh well onwards and upwards I must remember I have still lost almost 30 lbs this year and I will ensure I don't screw up going forwards.
